I’m sure you are facing at least one or two “mountains” at this very moment.
This mountain could be anything that intimidates you, that leads to anxiety or something that seems impossible to change that might be causing you to feel stuck.
I have good news for you!
With God on your side, the impossible becomes possible, and Jesus loves moving immovable obstacles on our behalf so that His name can be glorified.
How you do move the immovable impossibility that is standing before you?
I was meditating on how to move a mountain, when I felt the Holy Spirit say to me, “If you want to move the mountain in front of you, you must first move the mountain inside of you.”
The problem in front of you isn’t the problem. The real issue is what’s happening within you.
Doubt, fear, or unbelief looms large like mountains within many. These internal trespassers kills your faith, and amplify problems.
These thieves are not necessarily reigning in every area of your life, but only certain parts where you feel overwhelmed or where you experienced disappointment like at work, financial provision, relationships, or seeing a loved one turn to Christ.
When you get confronted with another problem in one of these areas it could trigger more fears or doubts, and diminish your faith.
The mountain in front of you isn’t the problem; it’s the mountain within that’s the real problem.
Jesus says in Matthew 21 if you have faith and “do not doubt”, you can move the mountain in front of you.
Doubt represents the mountain within us.
Matthew 21:21-22 (NKJV) So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
Jesus says that the lies, the unbelief, or doubts found within us are the actual problem.
If you move these mountains within, you will have the necessary faith, to trust in God, to speak to these mountains with authority and to see the real-life obstacles move.
Doubts and fears tend to kill your faith.
You are born to be full of faith in the living God. Declare war on the doubts and fears within that are illegal intruders of your thought life.
Sometimes we get so used to these intruders that we no longer know what it feels like to have faith.
How to move this mountain within you?
- Expose the inner doubts or fears to God’s truth. The moment you expose yourself to God’s word it will begin to push the doubts aside.
- Know that you are called to be a man or woman of faith. Doubt and fear has no right to rule within you.
- Speak life. Agree with God’s word about who you are and your future in Him. Stop agreeing with the doubts!
- Trust in the Lord. Know that He loves to move mountains on your behalf, so place your trust and focus on Him.
- Speak to the mountain of doubt or fear in Jesus name! Command it to get out of your life.
Make it your mission this season to move these inner mountains of doubt and fear out!
When you begin to shift your internal atmosphere from doubt to belief, you will be empowered to step out and see those external mountains move as well.
9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him…. (2 Chronicles 16:9 NKJV)
As you turn your heart to the Lord, and reveal yourself loyal to Him by fully trusting in Him, then He will show Himself strong on your behalf.
